Known as Berlin on the Fox, Berlin is rich in heritage with a Victorian era feeling. This elegant city on the upper Fox River boasts a flavor of yesteryear rarely found anywhere else.
Within the town there are tons of different recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike. The 38 acre Riverside Park has a host of different amenities on offer, including a boat launch for easy access to the Fox River, fishing piers, campsites along the river bank, a frisbee gold course, and much more. To the south is the Mascoutin Golf Course, which has hosted the WI Senior Open in the past. This course features 27 holes of challenging and fun golf that will make you want to come back for more each time.
Outside of town to the southwest you’ll find the White River Marsh, a 12,00 acre state maintained wildlife area that is home to many different species, including whooping cranes. There are many things to do in the White River Marsh including canoeing, fishing, hunting, trapping, and much more which can all be found here. The southwest area of the marsh is off limits to the public as it is a training and releasing area for whooping cranes.
