Ingram was established in 1885 with logging being it principal industry. The town was named after O.H. Ingram, a logger and partner in the Chippewa Logging Company.
Today, Ingram has a population of 74 residents. For the avid sportsman the Ingram area offers hunting in the Flambeau River State Forest and Rusk County Forest. These areas offer a great opportunity to hunt for Whitetail Deer. The area is also prime for bear and ruffed grouse.
Every August, the Village celebrates Ingram Days. Ingram Days is a community celebration that highlights the rich history of Ingram with horseshoe and ball tournaments that will remain a strong tradition for years to come.
The Village of Ingram offers some great local spots for residents to get a bite to eat. The Horseshoe Bar & Cafe offers a nice atmosphere and a great Friday Fish Fry, making it a great local option. Right down the road is the Antlers Tavern & Grill. Antler’s is known for it’s burger challenge, which is a burger stacked sky high with patties and topping surrounded by a very large portion of fries. This challenge has brought in people from all around the area looking for their chance to claim victory over the burger challenge. Antler’s also offers a full menu with many different choices, all reasonably priced.
